lyrics

At odds with it all
Even with a score so small
Counted coins out in the dark
Goldfish shone like pennies on the pond

Shepherds talk with Peter, then to Paul
Temple lenders, red ledgers in the book
Their debt to call when Kingdom's come
Both sheer the fleece to spare the flock

Cat's cradle
Dog eat dog eat dog

At a loss in the craw
Another prophet of God
Held each tongue as it sparked
Overtones, like city drones, in City Park

Salesmen dressed, impressive, in pressed wool
Sharpened teeth, sharp shoes, hungry like the wolf
Uniform deceptions cloaked in force
To keep the peace and count some sheep
And rest your head and get some sleep
To jump back off into the deep
And pray the Lord my soul to keep
The headlines closer to my feet
Overtones like city drones to join the beat

Cat's cradle
Dog eat dog eat dog

Leftmore Denver, Colorado

Leftmore is an indie acoustic rock act from Colorado, started in 2005 by Matthew Shaw and Joe Ziegler. Matt rejoined with Chris Doxtator on drums and Geoff Brent on bass guitar. The lineup now vacillates between the solo, duo, and quartet conditionally based on time-space. ... more
